Aunty Rashidah

Centre Manager

I’ve been part of this space for over a decade; growing and learning alongside many whānau. I value the concept of viewing children, no matter their age, as free and equal human beings; deserving of time, care and beautiful things.

Aunty Kylie

Team Leader

I have worked in this space for five years and deeply value the relationships I have built over that time. I continue to learn so much through my interactions with children, whānau, and my team, and I hold great appreciation for the growth these connections have supported.

Aunty

I joined this space as a reliever in 2020 and moved on to become a full time Aunty in 2021. The love and support from everyone working together in this learning community is something I cherish and something I feel like I haven’t felt anywhere else.

Aunty Candice

Aunty

I started my journey with this space as a student teacher in November 2023, and I became a full time Aunty in 2024 afer finishing my Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) degree. Kindness and meaningful connection are values I hold deeply. I firmly believe that children thrive and learn best when they are being nurtured with love and respect, and their curiosity is fostered.

Aunty Yan

Aunty

I joined this space as a full-time Aunty in July 2025, following the completion of my Postgraduate Diploma of ECE degree. I feel grateful to be part of this loving whānau. Every day here makes me believe that our philosophy can truly become daily reality. I believe every child is unique. With my patience, active listening, genuine care, and deep respect, I am looking forward to supporting each child as they grow and shine.

Aunty Charlotte

Owner

Originally from London, I discovered my love for working with children early in life. While studying Media and Communication Studies, I worked in a primary school, and those experiences sparked a passion for supporting young learners. After travelling the world, that passion only grew stronger. . Since then, I have spent over 10 years teaching and nurturing tamariki during all stages of their development, all while raising our own four children.

Aunty Sue

Chef

I am at Second Home Monday to Thursday and provide morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the tamariki.  I’ve been working here for six years and prepare nutritious, balanced meals and baked goods. I create menus which include new and interesting foods, a range of cuisines for children to experience, explore and enjoy. I can cater to age appropriate and dietary requirements.
